Just upgraded a customer to a 3300 MXeIII running MCD 6 SP2 and I am setting Embedded UM integration with MS Exchange.
In the user mailbox settings Mitel Documentation only gives you the option to enter the user's email address and password. I read in another Forum that with Office 365 you can create an IMAP user with access to all mailboxes and use the following syntax in the field where the email address of the user goes:
imapuser@domain.com\user@domain.com
with the password of the imapuser
This will allow you to only have to manage the imap user's password.
However, I tried that in the 3300 to use with Exchange but it did not work.
I want to avoid having to get each individual user's email password to enter in their mailbox settings and have to update it every time they change it.
There has to be a more practical way of implementing this integration.
Can anyone provide any suggestions?
