Hi guys, I sorta know how to use this but i have come accross an issue, when i set the day service for 08:30:00 it changes to day service at 08:00:00. From the log report it shows- SYSTEM SERVICE: Dept0 now in Day service. Reason: 12 CP service command by administrator remotley.

Then above it basicly says that at 08:30 day service already active.

I want Day service to start at 08:30:00

Here is what i have:

PROGRAMMED SERVICE SCHEDULE IS ON
PROGRAMMED SERVICE SCHEDULE Day IS ON
PROGRAMMED SERVICE SCHEDULED DAY: DAILY 08:30:00
PROGRAMMED SERVICE SCHEDULE NIGHT1 IS ON
PROGRAMMED SERVICE SCHEDULED NIGHT1: DAILY 17:30:00
PROGRAMMED SERVICE SCHEDULE NIGHT2 IS OFF
PROGRAMMED SERVICE SCHEDULED NIGHT2: DAILY 18:00:00

Can anyone help?

Loopylou: Just in case you missed my post on the subject:

A scheduled night service switch log looks like:

PROGRAMMED SERVICE: Changed Dept 0 to DAY service. Reason: scheduled change of service.

The reported log in this case is:
SYSTEM SERVICE: Dept0 now in Day service. Reason: 12 CP service command by administrator remotley

If the night service was changed by an operator(console), then it would tell us which operator made the change.

Do you know of an application other than OPS that can change the night service?

Specifically no, the only thing I was thinking was something like the CCM or IQ. Not sure if they have the capability. What do the logs look like if a user does it?

The single biggest problem with communications is the illusion that it has taken place.

It says something like NIGHT SERVICE activated by extn 1234

When it is activated via ops you get the following logs

SYSTEM SERVICE: Dept 0 now in NIGHT 1 Service.
Reason: 12 CP service command by Administrator remotely.

If it enabled vai a user you get this log

SYSTEM SERVICE: Dept 0 now in DAY Service.
Reason: 1 Dialed by device 2057.

Hi Guys i think i have sorted it,

Before i was asked to sort this out the day/night service had been set up via the SCHEDULER , i just had to amend the time from 08:00 to 08:30, i still get the message from my first post in the log - saying admin set day service at 08:30 the at the same time it trys to change to day service via the 'PROGRAMMED SERVICE' and just basicly says already switched on at 08:30, so all good .

Thanks for all the help and advice :)

Skookie - This is why providing software versions is extremely important.

The Scheduler Form was only introduced in releace 4.1 and it makes the Maintenance Command method redundant.

Turn off the maintenance command, you don't need it.
