Hi guys, I sorta know how to use this but i have come accross an issue, when i set the day service for 08:30:00 it changes to day service at 08:00:00. From the log report it shows- SYSTEM SERVICE: Dept0 now in Day service. Reason: 12 CP service command by administrator remotley.

Then above it basicly says that at 08:30 day service already active.

I want Day service to start at 08:30:00

Here is what i have:

PROGRAMMED SERVICE SCHEDULE IS ON
PROGRAMMED SERVICE SCHEDULE Day IS ON
PROGRAMMED SERVICE SCHEDULED DAY: DAILY 08:30:00
PROGRAMMED SERVICE SCHEDULE NIGHT1 IS ON
PROGRAMMED SERVICE SCHEDULED NIGHT1: DAILY 17:30:00
PROGRAMMED SERVICE SCHEDULE NIGHT2 IS OFF
PROGRAMMED SERVICE SCHEDULED NIGHT2: DAILY 18:00:00

Can anyone help?

Release level 4.1 SP2 is that what you need?

are you using opsmanager?

not sure what you mean, i just log in as system admin tool and i get into the Mitel communications director

You are setting the schedule directly in the 3300 in other words.

The single biggest problem with communications is the illusion that it has taken place.

opsman is a separate application thats runs in conjuntion with mitel systems and can control programmed night service

Yeah Loopylou, but as you can see from my 1st post , i try to set it for 08:30:00 but Day service is remotley switched on at 08:00:00

any suggestions???

Thanks, saw that. Hmmm... Should work but obviously does not. Sorry but I am stuck for a thought. No one is manually changing it?

Skookie, Supernova was asking about OPSman. This question is still valid. OPSMan is an application that runs on a separate server that has the capability to switch the night service.

If the scheduled service was setting the mode the log would look like this:

PROGRAMMED SERVICE: Changed Dept 0 to DAY service. Reason: scheduled change of service.

The schedule in your log is being set by an administrator remotely thus the question about OPSman.

Yeah i think i must be running OPSman, how do i sort this?

when you launch opsman you will need to navigate to
utilities
select maintenance task schedular
in here you will be able to see if and when day/night service is being run.
If it is you can either delete it or modify it

The answer seems quite obvious but I'll state it anyway.

First be sure that OPSman is involved.

If so - turn off schedule in OPS.

there is another way to make sure that you have opsman
on the 3300 go to the Controller Registry Configuration
in here if you have opsman the opsman fields will be filled out with ip address username etc

Supernova: i checked in Controller Registry Config and:

OpsMgrFtpPassword

OpsMgrFtpUsername

OpsMgrHostName

OpsMgrIPAddress

No Password, username, hostname or IP

Does this mean that i aint got OPSmanager, if so - then.............. im stuck lol

normally these fields are filled in as this is what opsman uses for data saves
Opsman can however still enable night service without these fields being filled.

Do you have enterprise manager?

Not sure
You could see if there is an IP address in the SNMP forms
Have you got more than 1 system?
usually Opsman/Entman are only supplied with 2 or more systems

Enterprise Manager would still need OPSMgrFtpPassword OpsMgrFtpUsername OpsMgrHostName OpsMgrIPAddress
filled out so I would say you don't have it.

The schedule looks fine as first reported. DO you have an application like Prarie Fire CCM or IQ that could be changing the Day/Nigh time? What type of voicemail? It looks to me like something is going in at 8AM and changing the time based on your first post. Do you have console operators with a 5550 or 5540 that come in at 8 AM?

i dont have the 5550 or 5540, i dont have antother applications to do with the phone system.

Not sure what u mean by wjhat type of voicemail, i just ust the VM that came with the phone system
