Hi,
Does anyone know how to change the admin voicemail box passcode pin on a mitel 3300, someones changed it and i cant get back in.

Tried the default manager, sys admin, and tech backdoors but none work.

If i blank the database "DBM FL OFF" will that reset the pin ?

Really dont want to do a full install as i will lose the licenses. and the box is not covered any more by mitel.

There is a "technicians" password higher than admin, available from the mitel website under security. It's possible your system has been compromised if the password has been changed without your knowledge. There seems to have been a fair bit of this lately.

If the technicians password has been changed as well you will need to speak tp your supplier/mitel.

Yep, as stated in my post tried that one !

Surely there must be a command for resetting the Admin passcode without reinstalling the software !

Just Blanked the database with "DBM FL OFF", it keeps the licenses, and wipes the phones directory, but still keeps the Voicemail database, so that was a complete waste of time !

Oh well, looks like a spread sheet with 9,999 tickboxes to start on ! Or whoever hacked my system can i borrow your auto dialer to re-crack the password you changed !

Hi 12345Kevin,

can you provide details of where, on the Mitel web site/Mitel online to access the technician password? (for those that have logins to the site)

the only 'security' section I can find, is "If you believe you have found a security issue with a Mitel product, please e-mail the Mitel Product Security Team security@mitel.com"

I'm not asking you to post the password here.

Thanks

you can raise a chargeable case with mitel, If i remember corectly you send the system diags / a backup of the database and they will reset the password for £250ish I think.

I can get all the passcodes from the 3300. However I will not give out this info over the net for obvious reasons.

Contact Mitel, they might do it for you. wink.

I am sorry but I will not take requests on this particular problem.

What I should have said is that there is a way to obtain all the passcodes, even if they have been changed, however you will need to get Mitel to do it.

trclark, you asked earlier whare to find the info on Mitel's website.

The Knowledgebase article you seek is 05-5162-00064

This will provide you with the Technicians Passcode which is very unlikely to have been changed.

Sorry in my first post i specified that all passcodes have been changed.

Do you know if they are encrypted on the Hard Disk ?

I've never tried to find them on the 3300.

Sorry, I did not think that you meant the Tech passcode was changed as well as this is very rare.

Looks like you either have to go to Mitel or figure it out yourself. I'd pick Mitel.
