Not sure if this can happen or not.....

But I have a user that I have loaded UCX on thier pc and they love the screen pops and being able to answer their phone with a click of the mouse. The only prob they have is when they answer.. it goes to speaker phone on the set and doesn't goto the headset.. so she still has to reach up and hit the button on the headset to pull it from the phone.

Any ideas?

She sitting there with the headset on all the time? She using headset mode on the phone if she is wearing the headset all the time?

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

Yes she uses it all the time.... I didn't know there were different headset modes!! I looked at setting on the phone for the headset and I didn't see any... but i could be missing it. Im new to this mitel stuff. :)

You can use a feature access code or program a button on the phone to put the phone on headset mode. The phone works better for someone that always wears a headset. I think that is your issue in that the phone cuts to the speaker when a call is answered and the handset is still in the cradel.

Do you know what that code is? Or do I look somewhere in the system for that?

thanks for your help BTW

Go to the users extension details, go to the key tab and configure a key as headset. On the device press the headset key. When the light is on, the headset will be used and not the handset.

It's normally a good idea to programme a transfer/release button as well. The headset and transfer button don't work very well together.

Agree with Rockza. If the phone is something like a 5312 you definately need the realease key. Don't think you need it on the 5320,5330 or 5340. The feature access code will be programmed in the system and can be virtually anything so we can't tell you what it is. You would have to look. If you have access to the 3300 admin then you can add the key as Rockza says or if you don't then you can program a headset key on the set itself using the superkey ( blue on a 5340 ).
