I have a customer with a Mitel 3000 that has bought a message on hold device and a=wants it connected to the system, with the connector they sent which is a LR5950 .06200 . I have plugged this into a digital port and programmed this port for external music, however no music is being heard over the system, if you plug a hand set into message on hold unit you can hear the message fine. What am I not correctly doing to get this to work.

Thanks in advance.

If it is a Mitel 3000 and not a 3300 then make sure you connect it to the analogue speech pair and (labeled A/B) on any free extn port (except for extn 20) Then set the music on hold source in systemwide settings to external, it should definitely work.

I will look at this when I am back on site, what I saw was on the system there was 4 rows of connections to make for phones and the 2 rows on the right side were for stations, the other 2 rows were for lines. I did not see anything labeled as A/B, . I will look more closely.

Thanks
TG
