I have a customer with a 200 EL that I am chasing trouble form one bay to the next. I have replace the triple cim cards in the main cabinet and 3 BCCIII. I have also replaced the MCC thinking that the BCCIII were getting a faulty load. Has any one ran across this?

When a BCC III card goes bad, we throw out the BCC III cards and install PIMCC and Old style bay control cards.

The only thing in the logs is msg link failure. It doesnt always start at the same bay either when the failure begins. However; once one of the bays has begin to fail the others follow.

Does the DSP module on the BCCIII have any function when it comes to the other bays speaking with the triple cim cards? Just shooting in the dark because that is the only thing that remains.

could you have a flacky power supply in the main cabinet that is possibly causing brown outs? Maybe backplane of main cabinet?

The main cabinet could be the issue. Replaced the PSU yesterday. failed again.

Here is the weird thing. I was luck enough to be the on call technician last night when it failed 45 minutes after I released my on site technician. I was able to power down all the bays and bring them up one at a time with the customer. When I got to bay 5 the other bays crashed. I sent out yet another replacement BCCIII thinking that 5s card is crashing. Ive also looked at the individual circuits on 5. No off hooks or lock outs. Everything seems to be perfect. But, if it does fail it will take about 3 hours.
