I have been having problems with an installation of a 0x32 fully expanded system:
0x32,5-12x0 modules,5-0x16 modules,and an App. Module
the 0x32 and trunk modules have loop start trunk cards in all of the slots, and the 0x32 has a combo card and a regular 6 port fiber card, the rom is a dr 5.0.
heres the problem when I try to boot with both 6 ports in the system says config error> warm, reset, and then all i can do is restart. If I take one 6 port out then I get it to start. My question is can a dr5.0 software rom take 2 6 port fiber mods, or do I have to find a dr6.0 or higher to make a mega.

I don't know where you get the idea you're using DR5 software. DR5 is from the old modular 824 system... You say you're using a 0x32 (MICS). In order to use 2 expansion cards you must use an XC version of software.

The card I have been using has 2 parts, MICS NVRAM Cart. and inserted in it there is a card labeled nt7b64yl rel 01 0002, NA-MICS-DR5.0 S/W WI 6.06

Most of the roms I have used are just one piece.

Like stated before the software needs to be XC.

Ok I have located a rom with the correct version that is on an existing system, with 1 6 port thats not being fully used so no problem with changing it except programing. I have NRU10 and I was hoping I could back it up and then put it back on the other rom hooked up to a different ksu. However the difference in the versions wont allow me to do so, is there a way arround this or do I have to go through every programming option all over?

In backup and restore... XC and non XC are NOT compatible nor is different versions of the smae type.

You can upgrade from non XC to XC without losing the database if the XC version is the same or higher than the non XC. Simply replace the flash card in the NVRAM module. But the other way around can not be done.
