MICS KSU Compatibility

Hi,

Is any MICS KSU compatible with any of the version of it's software(From the oldest to the latest)? Or the Ksu with the software cartridge?

When changing from older software (pre-4.0) you will need to change out the ram package though. (comes with the upgrade tool package)

Is that the NVRAM where you have to put in the software?
