Hello I am new here to the Forum.
I have a Client that has a MICS
they they just upgraded from a CICS.
Everything works great however,
Ext 523 answers the phone and is
asked to talk to Bob. They put the
caller on hold and pages Bob. If
line 2 rings in it does not ring
on 523 and 523 can not pick up the
call without pressing a line. Is
there something wrong with the MICS
or with the End User? I have not
gone to the site to check out the
problem yet. Anyone have some wise
and kind words. (Help that is)
Thanks

Make sure that the lines are set to appr&ring as opposed to appr only.

Terminals&Sets - Show
Show set: ___ - enter ext number
523:523 - Show

Show line: ___ - enter line number

L002: appr only - Change to appr&ring.

Make sure this is set to all lines. Calls on hold will not prevent subsequent calls from ringing. MRoberts

That's a programming issue, you need to go into configuration and assign line 2 to appear & ring and once you do that then the user just needs to lift the phone up to answer. ~Will Nortel soon be NoTel??~

Well it is funny that you say that. I thought about
that and that is not the Problem. What is the problem?
That is the Question. Ok Call in Line 1 User at 522 or
higher picks up. It is for Employee 15, 15 does not have an
EXT so Call placed on Hold and Page for #15. Call holding
on line 1. Call is Blinking on line one. Call 2 comes in
on line 2 the same person that has a call on hold trys to
pick up, can not pick up line 2 without pressing the line
button. Also does not ring at the EXT. However if someone
has picked up line 1 before line 2 rings it works just fine
you can hear it and pick it up.

Does anyone know or have any idea why one of my 800 numbers
when someone dials to it when the night schedule is on it only rings and rings but i do not know wich line it is?????????? ANY IDEAS WILL BE MUCH APPRECIATED. THANKS.

Well, I'm sure it is a simple programming issue.

What is your PRIME LINE?
Your prime line should be set to pool A
All lines should be in line pool A
And the set with ringing appearances should prime line pool A.

Email me if this does not work
