anyone know max number of m7324 or t7316 sets i can have ring on system with about 10 co lines
perhaps system p.s. may have a limit
i would like to quote about 25 sets with 10 to 12 ringing line appearances on each set
thanks

Norstar is a digital system so I would not worry to much about how many phones.
There might be some some versions that have a maximum but the later versions I don't think so.
Either way 25 sets is way under any limit.

You should mention what system and software level you have when asking questions.

You should learn about Park and Page mode when you start to have that many lines
This will free up buttons for features.
Program a Park key programmed on sets (F74) and Page (F611)
Program Lines to Ring Only on sets - they come in on the Intercom key

Call taker press's Park
Display states slot the call is parked in "ie 101"
Call taker pages "Joe blow 101"
Joe Intercoms 101 from any phone to retrieve call.
or Transfer the call to the set as normal.

right now mics 4.1
no vm
no receptionist
call is picked up by who ever answers call

they may want direct line appearance as they have a 616 and that is what they are used to
i can discuss with client
perhaps ringing on icm button is a good solution if they can adjust

i am open to any other suggestions
best regards

If it was me, I wouldn't worry about the ringing. With that many lines I'd also have the lines "Ring Only", put the lines in a pool and add a button for "Line Pool". Done it many times...

I read this as you are wanting to sell a Nortel system to a customer? If this is true you need to know the system much better than you apparently do so you can better serve your customer.

Good luck...to you and your customer.

thank you for these suggestions
i installed my first 616 dr1 in middle 80's
only 1 client with so many direct line appearances
usually there is a receptionist and or a vm ,nam flash or cp. still have
one client with a star talk mini.
one of my suppliers sales reps (very qualified) suggested the number of ringing sets may cause an issue
again thanks for replies
