I have a new MICS 7.1 install. We are unable to activate Message Lamps on the analog station ports connected to the ASM/MW modules (three modules, doing all the same thing). We can generate stutter dial tone when there is a new voice mail message. Anybody with any ideas out there?

What kind of voicemail do you have installed?

Actualy I am not so sure the vmail gives stuttered dial tone, perhaps somebody else can confirm....I amybe think of PBX.

For Analog I used to setup Off Premise Noticfation to call the Internal phone like you would with a cell phone.
Use the proper COS depending how often you want to be bugged i.e. call my phone every half hour 9 times, or since CP try editing the COS to your liking.

Under TERM & SETS did you go into the ATA settings and set it for Lamp?

correct ,under set programming you have ata settings for mwi

none = (guess)

tone = stuttered dial tone for 10 seconds

light = message waiting light on single line set (if equipped)

only thing i found funny is that only main set(direct dial) can set mwi on slt's with the feature 1 code, vmail can also

Thanks for all of the great advice. We were troubleshooting this as a system failure, and it turned out the supplier sent bad ASM/MW cards.
