This system was not installed by me. I took over this acount just a few days ago. Here's the hardware configuration:
MICS 6.1 XC
Slot1 - 6Port Combo
Slot2 - 6Port Combo
Slot3 - DTI
Slot4 - DTI

Modules connected to 6Port Combo in slot 2 MICS
3 - 0x16
4 - 0x16
5 - 0x16
7 - 12x0(NTBB20FG-93) with DTI in slot 1 (NT7B74AAAA)
8 - 0x8ASM
Modules connected to 6Port Combo in slot 1 MICS
9 - 0x8ASM
10- 0x8ASM
11- NAM Voicemail
12- 0x8ASM
13- Empty
14- Empty

I would've arranged this modules in a different way without wasting 8-ports with each 0x8ASM and I would've placed the 12x0 on position 8.
Lines 001-02 are PRI-A
Lines 031-054 & 085-108 are POOL B (E&M, Auto, Winkstart)
I use routing, destination codes start with "9"
For operator (internally) they use "0"
For parking calls 701..709
Extension numbers are 3 digit starting with ext. 100
Rec'd # is 4 digits for my target lines
Telco is sending "8" as lead digit over PRI so I have a few target lines starting with "8"
The other 2 T1 lines are from Quest and there are a few tool free numbers with the last 4 digits starting with "7, 3, 6 and 0" sent over this 2 T1 lines. I found a few target lines with lead digit 7,3,6 and 0.

Now the problem: system is only dropping calls when the T1 on the 12x0 is turned on and it's only dropping on incoming calls specially when they are parked. As soon as I had telco disable that line the problems go away. I've replaced all DTI cards and both Combo cards. It is nothing wrong with the Quest line (no dropped calls with either line connected to the system as long as my 12x0 was disabled).

HELP!!! I appreciate it.
Thank you

is your XC release 1 or the MR release. I recall having a customer with similar problems with parked calls.

make sure your at 6.1 wi 6.10 and make sure your feature cartridge is a release 2... and why are your asm's not piggybacked they were designed to be connected together to be a 16 port device also leading digit of "0" is never a good idea on the recieved digits

You need the latest MR the RLS that you have now has issues.

That is confirmed, you currently have the USA XC 6.1 Release 1. Upgrading to the proper release did help my customer. Try to get the MR Release and you might want to listen to luv2ski about combining the ASM's. You'll open 2 more fiber ports if you do so.

One other thing the trunk mod should be in port 8. Trunk mods start at the top and work down.

luv2ski__ASM's are not piggybacked because that's how I found them installed by the previous vendor. They have about 30 faxes on the system. I will combine the ASM's as soon as possible and that will free my port 8 in order to have my Trk Mod start at the top.

Will I still need the MR Release?

Nam555__are you with HLS?

Yes because there were issues with the RLS that you have......sorry

YOu can combine the ASM without the upgrade, but you will still need the MR Release to fix your problem.

Wouldent you put the NAM in port 12 and the Trunk mod in 11?

Thanks guys,
I will arrange the modules, get the MR Release and let you know how it goes.

Thanks again.

Dtone ports 11 & 12 were reserved for the Companion phones you can not use them for anything else. Although I have heard that maybe since NORTEL has done away with the companion that maybe they would open these 2 ports up. Anyone know anything?

i had a customer who had his reserved slots being used by digital station modules...he had a different vendor come in and do it....i told him that nortel doesnt support it so i cant support it..he was under contract with us and had another vendor do the station modules...but they seemed to work fine...think he was on 3.0 xc

I've tried it before in the lab and it locked up the system. Once I pluged somthing into them it was looking for UTAM codes. Maybe if you put in the keycodes it'll work. I'll look at it agin if I can get the codes cheap because it would be great to use the ports.

It would be great to use those ports, let us know how it goes, Hawks. Nortel should at least open them up with keycodes or something.

Just want to let everybody know that the 6.1XC MR took care of all the problems.

Thank you everybody!

Yup Yup Yup. Luv2ski nailed it with the MR release. Took care of my headache about 3 weeks ago. Saved my relationship with a big customer. I owe ya.
