I have a system that is MICS 6.1 that will not diplay CLID. I have checked the programming to be sure CLID is turned on on the sets and lines. If I put a caller id box on the incoming lines, I get the correct name and number. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I have 4ea M7316 phones and 1ea T7310 phone.

Things to check:
-do you have CLID CO cards
-Is the programming set up under T&S
-Is a voice mail, or person, answering before two rings (the time required for it to register in the MICS)

Have you ever set up CLID on a MICS, or are you an end user trying to get it to work?

Thanks for the response.
I have 3 CI cards in the system. Yes, I have set up Caller ID before. There is no voice mail and when I can get the operators to wait for the second ring, I still get nothing but the called line name. I have set the first display to be phone number. I have the terminal and sets set for auto CLID.

What happens when you press feature 811?
Does this happen on all lines?

from 6.0 or (mayb3 5.0) onwards callerID is configured differntely than the older systems.

in newer systems it is under terminals and sets (and not lines)
make sure the line is rinigng/ appr &ring on the phone
under telco features
select the line and caller ID should be yes ...

atleast i'm unaware of any issues with CI

I have all the lines ring and appear on the sets, I also have the CLID yes and auto diaplay under terminal and sets. You can still turn on caller ID under T&S lines. I have tried this both ways. I have even done a soft reset on the CI cards and still have no CLID. I even disconnected each set and let it reboot.............I am at a total loss!!

If you think you've covered everything and it sounds like you have, do a cold reboot of the entire system

Thanks telemarv.....thats not what I wanted to hear and have been avoiding to do only as a last resort.

I am also having this problem. Today I have tried three new cics systems all with 6.1 software and all with one CI card and every one of them is having the same problem. I know that my CLID info is being sent because I am testing at a place that I just took out a working 3x8.
Any other ideas?
Gerald

Sorry guys I'm fresh out of ideas. I've never had CI trouble (installed 100's of Norstars)

Thanks phoneguy99

I was beginnng to think I was loosing it or just something I was or wasn't doing. My problem is that this system is 2 hrs away from my shop.

thanks for all the help and great ideas. I will be sure and post the fix if I ever find it.

Have you installed the MICS 6.1 and what kind of sets are you using most?

I've installed around 15 MICS with 6.1 mixture of sets from M and T series. 6.1 does have some whacky things going on. Usually a cold restart cures them, but be sure you have made a back up first. Hopefully 7.0 addresses them but I'm not holding my breath.

I've notice on MICS 6.1 that when I do F812 and look at 'OLD' logged calls, the area code is after the number,ie., 8891768 (480). I don't remember it being this way on older releases. Was it? or is this something new?
