I have a MICS 6.0 with a PRI that is giving me fits. Some of the DID's ring in correctly and some ring a half ring on the phone to which they are assigned and then ring 4 times before being answered by the AA. I have assigned 157 and it works fine, however when 158 is assigned the half ring scenario happens. both lines are built the same.

The phone is not forwarded
the line is not redirected
The system is not in a service mode.

any thoughts?

I believe there was issues with PRI all the way to the last Rls of 6.1. Maybe check if it was upgraded to 6.0 if they changed out the NVRAM cart to the rls 2 version.

It seems no matter what line i apply the received digits to the problem follows. Meaning..

5611 is applied to 175 the line won't ring
5611 is applied to 176 the line won't ring
5610 is applied to 175 or 176 the line rings correctly.

any ideas?

there is another group on the same switch, same T1 card that doesn't seem to have any trouble and the LEC is telling me my switch is sending a rejection back to them when certain DID are called.

Sounds like received digit issue. Have you checked to make sure they are sending you more than 5610?

What is your software version, as reported back by the system in Maintenance ?

6.1 prior to Maintenance Release 3 is buggy with PRI's.

You need to be on 6.1MR3 or higher. The SPID should end in G10.

Methinks you have a buggy 6.1...

thanks for the help. I'm leaning towards buggy software myself.

If it were received digits, none of the lines would map correclty.

The voicemail is NVM 4.1.05 with MICS 6.0

we are looking into an upgrade to fix this problem. Thanks for your time.
