I have installed 2 PRI's on a norstar with mics 5.0 xc. Both PRI's are in pool PRI A. The cbc are set to min 0 and max 46. There are 2 6 port combo cards in slots 1 and 2. Both PRI's are programmed as B8ZS and ESF. Both PRI's have XO communications as the T1 vendor. So heres my problem:

When the customer goes to dial out(and this is happening during their busy time)the dialed number will stay on the display and the call goes nowhere. The customer will put the call on hold and try again same thing. It seems the PRI freezes up and a reset will cure problem temporarily.
Xo Communications says it shows the PRI as being idle with no problems. I've changed out the T1 cards problem still there. I have Nortel looking into it. I just want to know if anyone has had a problem like this.

Whats the history? Is this a brand new install, or did the problem happen after it had been working correctly for a while? Or did you install the 2cd PRI- then have problems?

Did you verify that they are decending & you are ascending or visa versa.

This system had 16 analog lines before. The PRI install is new. I am set up for decending opposite the co.

I wouldn't be so quick to write off the Telco side.

look at the idsn cause codes ...for better info reg hte problem? any alarm codes in the system?
what protocols/ CO emulation is set up? play with them a little

do u mean that before the reset no one can make calls?

I have not ruled out the local co,but you know them. I didn't look at ISDN alarms. I have looked at the Event Alarms. What I don't get is that this can go a whole day without a problem. I believe that this is a telco problem, but I can't prove it.
