MICS 5.0 upgrade to XC 7.1 2

I am new to this site but I have read many of the past posts and they contain bits of my solution. Here is the short version.
I have a new user to a fairly full MICS 5.0 (SP:30BKG06)with PRI and a NAM voice mail. She wants to (a) have her DID plus 2 additional DID's appear and ring on her set, (b) turn the 2 additional DIDs into 2 line/channel hunt groups on her set, (c) see caller ID info before answering on all 3 DID lines.
The site is currently are maxed on their 6 fiber ports so I want to take then to XC during this upgrade. Breath....
Is 7.1 going to take care of the new user and is NTB80AL USA-MICS-XC S/W upgrade tool my correct tool?

If she just wants the ability to have 2 more keys for her 1 DID then go to Sets/LineAccess/ Show her target line, show again and add 2 more appearances.
Of make her DID ring only and add 3 Intercom keys.

Upgrading will not assist, it will only expanded your system as well other features and fixes.

As for the tool I am not sure but look at the 7.1 Installer guide then search 'upgrade" and it will tell you the exact tools to use.

To be more precise, she wants line key 1 to be her DID A&R with CID info to show B4 answer, Line 2 (and 3?) key/s to be Boss1 ext DID that will show CID info B4 answer and not FWD to Boss1 MB on busy but ring 2nd channel so she can answer, and ditto for Boss2 ext DID on next available line buttons.
I have been successful with the 3 DIDs on her set except it only shows CID info B4 answer on her DID, not Boss1 or Boss2. That is why I think I want to go from 5.0 to 7.1.

Going to 6.1 XC would take care of the caller ID problem, be less expensive than going to 7.1 XC, and not require use of an upgrade tool.

Yes, good point on the 6.1XC. I can use that as a fallback if the 7.1 is too $$$ for the customer.

Also check and make sure your NAM is the latest release to work with the higher software.

Right. NAM needs to be R4.1 to work correctly with MICS 6.1 or higher.

Is there a way to find out nam version without opening it up? I have RAD access.

Login to F983, then press 9 to display the version.

I have upgraded to DR 6.1 and Ihave a couple of DN that lost the CID information displayed before the call is answered?? The CO numbers shifted and buttons changed, all no problem, but the CID is a bugaboo...

Look under Terminals & Sets - Telco Features - Feature Assign. Enter each line that appears & rings on the extension and toggle Caller ID Set from N to Y.
