I am curious to know if there is a problem with MICS 5.0 and a NAM 4.04a? Are there any patches for either in the scenario I am about to list? I have set up night service to answer lines 1-5, telephone call is answered immediately with greeting, then i dial ext 225 rings set 4 times on a call fwd n/a then suppose to go to Vmail extension.....Yet, this is where in the problem lies, the system never drops into Vmail...but redirects into the AA greeting of dialing the extension number or pressing poound for the company directory and spell by first or last name. confusing>

any suggestions on how to get a patch on these many problems for this NAM 4.04a I do have a CDROM backpack, yet will need help if needed to load something to NAM unit.

Thank you,

Joey D

Joey,
Search back through the posts. There seem to be no end of problems with Rls 5 and Nam 4. I am not aware of all the patches and fixes required to get the two things working together but you will see other posts. I would consult your vendor on this one too.

There is a patch that you need to install on the 4.0 NAM, if you have a 5.0 Norstar. You'll need to power the NAM down insert the disk in the floppy drive, then power up NAM with disk in the drive, you should hear beeps when it's done about 5 minutes, however the times I've done it this way I did not hear the beeps but it did work. Then power the NAM down and remove the disk, you should be good to go no backpack needed. If you have Norstar Voicemail Manager, you can log onto the NAM and go to System Parameters and change "Redirect DN" from yes to NO, that also works. However I will email you the patch.

Roldan, Thank you for your help in this situation, I will try both and let you know how it goes. Thank you for your time in this matter. Joey D. How does backpack hook to NAM? Backpack comes with Parallel conection, yet I am sure we can figure this out, glad to hear from you all.

Roldan- I recently install a MICS 5 with a NAM 4.0.04a and would like to have the patch files to get my voice mail working properly. My email address is tommy.bridges@atofina.com
