Just replaced MICS 0x32 KSU due to system shuttting off and on. I used the existing 5.0 software and sleeve. I just received a call from customer indicating that the system is shutting off and on again. Could the 5.0 software and sleeve be the problem?

Did you check the logs?

Maintenance > System Test Log
Maintenance > System Administration Log
Maintenance > Network Event Log

The system automatically logs alarms, events and failures. Some of them cause the system to restart. They could give you a clue on what is wrong.

Some of the events you will see in the logs are not significant. You can use the Installer Guide for your system to find out what the alarm codes and event codes mean.

Have not checked the logs yet. I am scheduled to go this week. I will check and advise.
Thanks Multimedium.

I would check for power issues -if it is a replacement KSU having the same problem. Check to see if they have added any new equipment on or around the same circuit as the phone system, ie. copier, microwave, Fridge. Check power at the outlet-If norstar systems fall below 117V they wig out, another problem I have run into many times is defective battery backup the way you test is unplug from Backup and to direct power to see if problem persists.
