Hello,
I am attempting to install Micros 3700 on a windows 10 laptop. I got the ASP error when executing the setup, got past that etc. I can't get past the error message for the Setup regarding IIS 6 or above, I have installed all IIS components that I could find. Any ideas?

You'll need to setup the IIS webserver side, if I am not mistaken. I don't have any experience as of yet with Installing that on windows 10 machine.

How could I get in contact with you "offline"?

I can confirm that even with IIS properly configured the installer just won't see it. If anyone figures out a way around this I'd be interested in hearing about it.

Hi ezchow!
which exaclty ASP error do you have (maybe you can post printscreen).

I am going to give this a try and install on a Windows 10 VM workstation.

OP, please post a copy of the log or screenshot of the error.

here is the screen shot

Yep, just checked it IIS server is running.. still same error.
:(

I ran into the same issue. To confirm, I even installed a .NET 1.0 IIS app which worked fine. The Micros installer just can't seem to find IIS.

Do you guys have any logs you can supply? It's gonna take me a day or so to build the Windows 10 VM, I have a few other projects I am working on.

It doesn't appear to generate logs, but I didn't dig deep when we got the error - it was an interesting experiment, but all of the boxes are still shipping Windows 7. Same kind of error you get without Adobe installed. It just says you're missing something and exits.

The only way that you are going to get Windows 10 to work with MICROS, is to install it on either Windows 7 or 8 and then upgrade to Windows 10. After doing this, re-run the installation to get the DB to work. The installer doesn't recognize IIS on Windows 10 for whatever reason even though it is there.

Just to make sure I am matching the same version you are installing, you are installing Micros 3700 v5.0 or v5.1?

I wonder if they're using the registry to detect if IIS is installed and it may have moved in Windows 10.

Have a look in your windows 10 directory and see if these keys exist.
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\InetMgr
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\InetStp

If they dont exist try and create them and see if the installer runs.

Do you want some custom SIM scripts developed. Contact me via my website

I checked this registry setting and it is showing IIS 10.0.

::UPDATE::
Changing the registry version info, won't help either.
