Hello everyone --
Does anyone have access to the latest MICROS SVC gift card software, version 4.2.7.460? The latest build that I can find is 4.2.7.451. I need the latest version to be able to update Valutec to the latest TLS 1.2 system. Thanks in advance.

Did you get anything on this? Our gift cards through Valutec just started getting rejected, They provided me with the VAR sheet, however, where do I plug in the MID, LID, TID or client key? I'd rather not pay for Oracle programming.
Thanks

Sorry OP i cant help you but LRG90401 if your running a 3700 system I can help you

Yes, 3700 res 5.4. Please let me know how to proceed.
Thanks

In the Dropbox file there is a PDF that was sent out by oracle spelling out how to proceed. Its not the easiest thing to follow if you are not familiar with some of the changes, but if you want to give it a shot feel free. Also feel free to ask any questions here along the way.

A few notes,
your going to need to stop the Micros Service launcher before removing all the valutec files as they are still in use.
If you already have a sim created for the original valuetec host adapter, just change the name and the server settings of that one rather than create a new sim.

lrg90401 -- the Valutec2 Host Adapter document states that SVC v4.2.7.460 is required, however this is not fully accurate. SVC v4.2.7.451, the latest version on Oracle's eDocument Delivery system, is compatible and works. I've upgraded 6 of our RES 3700 v5.2-5.4 stores successfully.

It's on the eDelivery system Wildbar listed. You'll need an authorized Oracle.com account to access it.
Chances are, though, you already have that version installed on your system... have you verified what version your on?

I do, all my sites accepted the new host adapter no problem, I was just curious. I've never used the edelivery tool before. Thanks!

Sim version does not match server version error. i replaced the svc.isl file with pms11.isl, however, still get error

@lrg90401 Is the original Valutec Interface still in Configurator, or did you reuse it? I'm assuming that you created a new one for the Valutec2 Interface. That's ok, but you need to do two things if you are no longer using the original Valutec interface:

1) Uncheck SIM check box on the Interface
2) Rename the pmsx.isl file (e.g. pms2.isl.old) so that Ops stops referencing it.
3) Make sure ALL touchscreen designer buttons that are accessing the Valutec interface have actually been CAHNGED to the new Valutec2 interface.

These should get you past that problem.

JDCory I had a touch screen and sim issue when first doing the programming and it just returned a isl sim not found error. It sounds like his is recognizing the files and they aren’t compatible.

I have successfully upgraded 2 sites to Valutec2, but the third is giving me this error: "the requested security protocol is not supported". The first 2 sites already had .net version 4.6 or above, but this site did not, so I installed that version and rebooted. Is there anything else I need to do to update the .net, or does anybody have any ideas how to resolve this issue? RES Version 5.4 MR1, SVC Version 4.2.7.451, same as the other sites.

@microslady - make sure all Windows Updates are completely installed and up-to-date. I had one site that had this same issue, and Windows Updates solved it.

@Colin518 and @lrg90401 - if you've had to install 4.2.7.451, make sure you grab and rename the new default svc.isl file that gets placed in the Micros/Professional Services folder, and then place it in the ETC and CAL/ETC folders, and then rename it according to the interface number in Configurator.

I had the same problem, but I initially did not copy over the new svc.isl file for the 4.2.7.451 installation.

Hope this helps.

Another site, different issue: cannot delete Valutec.svccha.dll. I have stopped the MICROS SSF Service Launcher, but it still says "The action can't be completed because the file is open in SSF UI Launcher (4.2.6.436). Is there another service that I need to stop?

@microsLady Is the Sim Config running when you tried to delete the .dll?

Honestly, though, deleting it is really not necessary. It doesn't hurt anything to leave it where it is. As long as the new "Valutec2" files are in place, and are configured properly through the SSF utility, things should be ok.
