Hello everyone --
Does anyone have access to the latest MICROS SVC gift card software, version 4.2.7.460? The latest build that I can find is 4.2.7.451. I need the latest version to be able to update Valutec to the latest TLS 1.2 system. Thanks in advance.
Thanks jdcorey, updating windows fixed "the requested security protocol is not supported" issue. Next question, where did the loyalty Level 1-6 settings go?
Are you referring to what was showing within the Valutec host adapter in the SSF Utility? If so, I noticed that, as well. None of my locations use the Loyalty component of Valutec, and only use gift cards. Sorry I can't help that.
At the finish line here...still have version error when workstation boots. You can now activate and check balance, however, the information on the pay screen is not populating. In addition, the DSR that is custom, does not show activation/addition/reload for the gift cards, probably because the DSR is pointing to the old gift card?
I have a feeling I messed up the new svc.isl file renaming and not deleting or renaming the old valutec files. I think I'm paying for $200 Oracle Pro Services..
@lrg90401 - you can always re-run the SVC install file to recreate the default svc.isl file in the Professional Services folder, and then you can use that new file to drop it in ETC folders on the server and in the CAL folders.
Just make sure you delete the existing SVC file that matches the numbered interface in Configurator. Then, rename the newly installed .isl file to the correct name, and then move it over.
If you have several old files in the CAL folders, you can delete these directly from the DOC folder on the workstations, themselves, which would prevent you from having to flash and re-CAL each one.
As far as your reporting templates, that is a whole different ball game and much too technical to get into here.... I hate to say it, but if you're not familiar with modifying tracking groups (which can be dangerous), then Oracle's Professional Services might be your next best option... (yup, sort of a necessary evil sometimes).
This operation seems to be above my skill level. Does anyone have a programmer outside of Oracle that is comparable with their Pro Services for this type of thing?
