Hi Folks,
Has anyone been able to make an external Voicemail box (on main analog trunk) flash a message waiting light on a users phone (one or more phones), while still having embedded VM working?
I do not think it is possible, but I see, under button proramming, Advanced, Voicemail - there is a Montitor Analog Trunk MWI feature.
Docs read that the system VM type needs to be set to "Montitor Analog Trunk MWI" and therefore not remain at embedded VM or VMpro.
Most customers stil lwant embedded VM so this woudl not work, but I just thought I woudl see if there is any other clever way to make it work.
We currently have a few customers who just used studdered dial tone on the main line (from the CO) to indicate there is a message on an external VM.
PS. they use an external VM only when all trunks are busy and callers would otherwise hear a busy..
