Message Wait Lights - Illuminated accross whole site, and will not turn off!

Hi All, first post here apologies if its in the wrong area?

I have a IPO 500v2 running version 7.0(5) software (I know its not the final release version for 7.0)

The issue we are seeing is that the Message wait light is illuminated system wide and simply won't turn off, Im about to upgrade the system to the latest level software, but before I do this I was wondering if anyone else had seen this issue?

There are no messages waiting and broadcast is set to off on all mailboxes.

Do the users have an extra source no.?

Some users have extra source numbers for various huntgroup mailboxes, but these mailboxes are empty, also there are users who have no source code and the MWL is on too,, its a really odd situation!

I was thinking of deleting all messages from the Embedded VM to make certain, but not sure of the best way to achieve it using the file management system

as holdmusic34 stated, look under the users for source codes, could be all users have this and may be messages in a hunt group, look at system status and see if the hunt groups have messages.

As I mentioned previously, I've checked the mailboxes, and some users have various Source Numbers, however this is lighting the MWL on users that have no Source numbers at all e.g. every user on the system

SSA shows no Messages in any group mailbox, already checked that

Reboot everything, then dig deeper if it isn't fixed

Hi Hairlessmonkey,

Yep restarted the VM, Rebooted the IPO as well, made no difference, next plan was to upgrade the software and hope it sorts the issue, but not going to hold my breath!!

Who knows then...upgrade it is, assuming the handsets are already at the correct level for 7.0.5

New system? Could be an invitation from VM to set up a greeting in your mail box. Record a new greeting on an extension with this fault to test.

System Status will show if there's any messages actually there currently not accessible.
Watch it boot up in monitor for any faults next time you kick it in the guts (reboot).

Old System, its been in for about 2 years, lights just came on about 2 weeks ago and I'm having no luck getting rid of the dam things!!

I'll do the upgrade and report back, thanks for the advice guys
