Message Light On But No New Messages...

I have a couple of phones that sometime the Msg. light is on but when you go to retrieve the new Msgs. there is none. What can cause this. We have a Meridian mail system. Thanks!

Could be other mailboxes with the MWI DN set to the extension on those phone(s).

i seem to remember from my dark past,, that there is a prompt to do a daily test on lamps,, but i cant remember where it is..but i am looking

There were mailboxes set for both key 0 & 1 . I deleted the mailboxs for key 01 and kept Key 00 mailbox intact.

go to your local voice users screen and do a find against the ext, not ion the voice mail field but in the "Message Waiting Indication DN" field...
