Meridian Mail will not reset after power outage

On an Option 11C , if power goes out , and then comes back on , switch comes back on , but Meridian Mail will not come back on until I go to LD 48 , ENL AML 9 ACMS . Is this normal ? Is there a command that will bring Meridian Mail back up automatically after a power outage ?

I don't if this is related, but did you made a courtesy down for the Meridian Mail before shutting down the system?

I'm not shutting the system down . The power went out because of a thunderstorm , the ups was exhausted and then the system went down .
