I recently tried to do a memory upgrade on a 3300 CX controller because I read that it was recommended to run version 9 software. I was wondering if anyone else had done it and if there was more to it than just swapping out the memory chip?

Nope simple as that, have done it. Replace exisiting chip and away you go.

It's for 9.1 really, don't need it on 9

Mitelmatt, Thanks for responding. Did you use the mitel upgrade or did you just buy a 512 mb pc133 sodimm chip?

Unfortunatly I no longer work for a mitel authorized rep and they local rep wants $300 for just the memory chip. Do you happen to know the model number of the chip. I have the info for the 256 meg chip, but that series had a maximum size of 256. Thanks for whatever assistance you can offer.

Smurfturf.

Some questions you should be asking...

How much will it cost your company in downtime if your outsourced memory fails to do the job?

Will your service provider still honor your maintenance agreement (provided you have one) if they do not do the work?

Will Mitel support it afterwards?

food for thought
