Hi,
I'm trying to set an option so outside callers can enter the conference # they've been given & end up there.
Have one DID, no matter how many conference calls are happening.
In Voicemail Pro, I have my 3 digit input, saved as a user variable, but can't figure out how to transfer the call from there.

*66*N# is my internal short code to get into a selected conference, but can't find how to use the user variable $KEY to get into the same conference.

OK Tommy, thanks for the suggestion.
Got $CP0 set to $KEY.

I put *66*$CP0 as the transfer to, but I'm still not getting there.
The *66*N# short code is in IP Office, not VMPro. Does VMPro need it's own as well?

Is there anything I need to put between *66* and $CP0 to join them, + or & or just all bunched together?

The more I'm reading Avaya's manual, the more questions I end up with!

Getting closer (I think?)
Conference room is 5 digits, 6+ XXXX (Mod's extension)
have my menu prompt 'enter conference number", 4 digits
Generic sets $CP0 to $KEY
Transfer to x$CP0

but still not getting there [mad]
Actually, doesn't have anything to do with call origination either.
Seems to fail at the transfer whether I test with my cell or internally.

Did it exactly like that, but when it hits transfer, something is going wrong.
Added a Set user Variable just before transfer just so I could see that the numbers I'm dialing are getting that far.
Using just the straight up "Transfer".
Makes no sense that it is failing there.

Just for laughs. Made the transfer to just $KEY and it went to the extension I dialed, so VMPro is not liking the shortcode in IP Office for some reason.

With all the issues, I'm rethinking this plan.
Instead of having 1 DID incoming and having the caller input the conference number, I think it's easier and wiser to make multiple conference DIDs, have the caller put in a host provided PIN to verify.

How about 1 DID to a menu that says input your bridge number, and each branch from that menu goes to another menu that gets the PIN and then matches a User Variable, and if it matches, transfers to the conference

Create User Variable Bridge1PIN, Bridge2PIN, etc.
Create a PIN protected branch to another menu to set the User Variables

Call comes in, select the conference number (1, 2, 3, or 4), ask for PIN, compare to variable for the bridge, transfer if valid, start over if not

Dial **PIN, input fixed pin for the menu, select the bridge, input the new PIN, set the variable, speak back the PIN for confirmation, and then restart

I would try that TTTommy, but the issue really seems to boil down to transfers from Vmail Pro not working.
No issues transferring to a valid extension, but the transfer option just doesn't seem to go when my Conf MM short code is the destination.

Doesn't matter if it's an internal or external call.
If that part worked, I would have been done by now! :D

SONOFAGUN

When doing the short code to CMM, I was working in my V500 Digital module, & testing right away, since CMM is not an option under Solution.
I didn't got though my other modules and add the short code, after all, I was just testing. But, once I did that, things seem to be working now.

Thank you TouchToneTommy for all your input, You've been a great help!
I'm <90 days with this system, but someday I hope to know half of what you do! [2thumbsup]

I'm sure I'll be posting about that CMM soon enough!!

Probably a little late to ask... But on which IPO release are you?
