HI,

I have a customer who requires just a "beep" tone instead of silence whilst customers are on hold. I have looked at ASPAC:parnum=177 and this is set to 0. PARNUM 154 is set to 2 for available music sources. PARNUM 177 can be set from 0-7 in Alex. Is there a setting to get this to work as ive tried to change the option but still silence on the parked call.

Many thanks for your help,

Triplebee

Try

177=7
154=0

Looks like you have done the reverse and told the switch you have MOH,

best parnum

parnum will give it a try and give you a big thumbs up if it works...!!!!

Just tried that and still no job im afraid. On PARNUM 177 the options are 0-1-2-4-8-16 or 32, and for PARNUM 154 they are 0-1 or 2. Tried these variuos ways but still silence. Any other ideas most welcome.

You have to restart TMU after changing some ASPAC 's . Is this one of them ?

Hey triplebee,
the values for parnum 177 are as you say in your post but can also be a combination of them. The example given in the docmentation is for "Tone message is always given instead of music on hold for channels 1 to 3 from external equipment - PARNUM=177,PARVAL=7

Hi,
the other issue you might be having is that the MOH Tone for BC12 Standard Application is actually silence. You can try verification tone as MOH Tone by setting 177 to 56. Good luck.
