Hello,

I am looking to get an MCSE or MSCA in the near future,
the company that I am considering to provide the on line resource is

how do i validate these guys?

is an on line course the way to go?

They will do me an MCSE inclusive of exams (on line) for

£530

which sounds quite good?

for that kind of money you can probably buy 3 450MHz or better PCs with basic 15" or 17" monitors, eval software for W2K and 2003, 3+ ethernet NICs (if not in the PCs), 3+ ethernet cables, 2 little ethernet hubs or switches, and a bookshelf full of used MCSE study books (Coriolis, Sybex, MS, New Riders, Syngress)...

Think about this path: 70-210 (MCP 2000), 70-214, 70-215, 70-216, 70-217, 70-218 (MCSA 2000), 70-219 (MCSE 2000), 70-292 (MCSA 2003), 70-296 (MCSE 2003)

Visit here to review why and other alternatives:
Then you go through the books, lots of hands on, able to stop and go back on your schedule, able to reload the OS if you want to try it again differently...

eh, voila!! You have 5 nifty certs... with hands-on on servers, workstations, and fairly tricky networks (i.e., 2 subnets)...

And then, if you need the space, you tell your story and sell the lot via eBay to the next candidate...

I personaly paid £6,000 for my MCSE (well the company did at least). I also probably ended up spending £300+ on books (i bought a few cheap study guides but didnt think much of them). A the end of the day you have to weigh up if it will suit yourself. I hear very good things about e-learning as a cheaper alternative and if the company is willing to provide support it must be good. Plus last time i checked exams were £100 each (x7) so it seems as if you will save money by buying this course.

I agree with JTB. Much cheaper, maybe more work though, but much more rewarding IMHO.
