MCR on 500 set

Is it possilbe to have an MCR # that appears on multiple 39xx sets also appear on a 500 set? And still keep privacy on each individual appearence?

A Multiple Appearance, Multiple Call Arrangement is available between Meridian 1 proprietary telephones only. It allows as many calls to be in progress as there are appearances of the DN. Selection of the ring option
allows the DN to be rung whenever an incoming call is directed to the idle DN.

Yep. Comes with the switch so you have a set or the cd.

Here is the deal -

Help desk number is 4411. It is an MCR ( MCN ) on about 10 3903s and 3904s.

We want a cordless for walking around and we want to be able to have 4411 ring on it. We have a two line cordless, line one is x3939. We want 4411 on the second cordless line.

4411, if not answered goes to a voice mail box which is routed by TOD to other m-boxes, in case this makes any difference.

Ideas to make this work would be greatly appreciated.

Could you make 4411 key 0 and simply call forward to cordless ext.?

you can use a data tn to route with and set up as follows:

set cordless line 2 to a new dn with hunt and fdn to mail
and hta fna in cls

and program a port no phone as
example:
tn 4 0 0 16 or ports 16 thru 31
type - any digital type
hunt to cordless line2
fdn to cordless
cls flxa vce cptd wtd hta fna sfa
key 0 mcr 4411
marp=yes

this port won't disable and needs no phone and calls should go to the cordless before going to mmail

MCR is available on 500 sets also, CLS=MCRA. However, the privacy issue is moot. MCR's clear on other phones when answered. Thats the advantage of them. What you want sounds like you want SCRs.

i have several depts with mcrs on digital and analog sets. my exten 3000 is used as a code blue alert and it appears on 12 2616's and 4 2500's. and as stated, mcrs are by default private conversations. when i answer my phone, your mcr light stops flashing, if another call comes in, it rings all idle stations
