Hi,

Does it matter what MBM goes where? I have the DTM in the bottom slot, the 4x16 combo above that, and the GASM8 above that. This leaves the top bay open. I noticed my telephony resources say DIPSWITCH's all on. I will set them all unique, but don't really know the guidelines on where to put what? I have seen BCM400 working from any bay.

Thanks

The new bcm 450 has 4 slots.
Mbm 1 at the bottom.
Mbm 2 next.
Mbm 3 next.
Mbm 4 top.

MBM 1 to 4 start from the bottom up.

Default mbm slot 1 is set for a MBM 32 module. ( can Be Changed).
You can set the modules to what ever you like as long as youn change them to corespond to the same module in resources.

The dip switches should be left alone(Factory settings) same as bcm50 set up.
There is no need to change them.
Just put the card into the correct slot as you have Configured up in resources.

EG if you configured up a DTM in slot 4 then install the DTM PRI in slot 4.

THe only time the DIP switches have to be changed is when you install an expansion Cabinet.
When you configure the card here the resource will show you the dip switch configuration you need to set.

Pull the manual off the system. It'll explain the dips, slots, etc.

I have looked through the manual, and it does not describe the bus numbering for the Expansion Cabinet. I cant tell where bus 1 - 6 start and end. Anyone done this yet?

In the expantion it dosent matter it is the dip switchs that assign it to a bus.But to keep it neet keep them in order from bottom to top.

The dipswitches will tell the Bcm physically wich modules is where.Don't put the modules in.You put your expansion keycode then assign "mbm-6" in ressources for the expansion cabinet then assign your modules in your bus from 1 to 6 and the bcm will show you the dipswitch setting for each.
