I want to install a bcm450r5 but the specs show only 100 stations in the main unit. If i have a main unit with a cec card can i get more than 100 stations out of the base unit. Customer requirements are 32 DTMs 73 analog stations which makes 105 stations
Thanks

Not with those requirements.

Base unit only has 4 MBM slots. You need 10 slots just for the analog stations and that will require an expansion cabinet along with the CEC card. That only leaves 2 slots and you need one for your DSM32. Your only real viable option for that last slot is for a PRI card with that many users.

If you want to substitute IP phones for those analogs, then you could get away with the base unit with the CEC card.

I was thinking of a FEM in one of the slots and using Analog station modules

Sure, that would work too if you have that old Norstar stuff laying around. The 450 supports 1 FEM in the main chassis. You still need the CEC for more than 100 stations though.

Thanks telcodog. This car dealer really loves his walmart cordless telephones. In reality 22 of the stations are for faxes and credit card machines. I tried to explain how much trouble remembering all the feature codes will be. Personally a nice old MICS is all he really needs. Thanks Avaya.
