Hello friends,

Is there a maximum number in a pick up group?..I have added a new phone to a certain group (did PUA and added RNP on a key), but it does not seem to pick up the call to a phone in the same group.

Thanks as always
JR

Straight from the Features NTP:
The number of Call Pickup groups is 4095. The number of members assigned to each group is unlimited, depending on available system memory.

RNPG (0)-255 Ringing Number Pickup Group grp-1
(0)-4095 Ringing Number Pickup Group with Capacity Expansion grp-1
To remove a telephone from a group, enter 0 in response to
the RNPG prompt.

did you match rnpg x on the set?

Did you prt the TNB of both phones to verify they are in the same group?????

Thanks guys....I have checked everything and verified all info to be correct, I will change the hardware and see if that helps.

Thanks again

at one time the limit was 32 stations.. the number of groups as posted above is controlled via keycodes. but unless the switch stops you from adding a new member your not over the limit. that said if you post the two stations tnb.. the one that works and the one that does not.. we can help.. 90 percent to the time when i see a pick problem that is not soft, the station is not labeled correctly.

unless you can hear every member of the group, i don't add you to a group. it doesn't do much good to have 90 stations in a group.. if you hit pick you get the station that is ringing the longest, which you may not even hear ringing. when group size becomes a problem i turn them off and turn on directed call pickup..

Directed call pickup? Maybe you could expand on that a little for us john?

There's an old habit here from the key system days to put an appearance of every DN on every phone in an office instead of using pickup. Good ole' shared and squared.

Any advice on what's easier for me to maintain: pickup or shared and squared? How might directed call pickup help me (and the users) out?
