Dear All,

Current, we get trouble when running Merge. The
The CP Order 136 - Due date: 01/06/10 and next CP 137 - due date is 07/05/10 and next is 01/04/10. Different with COO are in Jul/Sep/Nov/Dec.2010.
Could you help me to understand this problem? Thanks in advance!

Macola: 7.6.200 / SQL v.7

What is the name of the report you are running? Please explain the problem. Why do you think the next CP should be some other date? They donot charge by the word here on tek-tips so please feel free to explain your issues.

Hi Mr.Dgillz,

I used Master Schedule report By Details. Sorry for the short report, so I made it was not clearly!
As attachment report: I have 9 Order Entry (Customer Order)with due date from 22.Dec.2009 to 14.Dec.2010 with the same qty - 6912 pcs; When I run merge (Master Scheduling/Trx/ Master Schedule/ Merge...) with all option has been checked; and print the Master Schedule report, I see all OE show on report (COO 909/ COO 1131/...) showed correctly with Due date. But with CPs is only calculate up to Jun.2010
1/ CP 132 3,812 06/01/2010
2/ CP 133 6,912 17/02/2010
3/ CP 134 6,912 27/02/2010
4/ CP 135 6,912 14/04/2010
5/ CP 136 6,912 01/06/2010
6/ CP 137 6,912 01/05/2010
7/ CP 138 6,912 01/04/2010
8/ CP 139 6,912 02/03/2010
================
COO:
1/ COO 909 6,912 17/02/2010
2/ COO 909 6,912 14/04/2010
3/ COO 1131 6,912 22/12/2009
4/ COO 1144 6,912 06/01/2010
5/ COO 1154 6,912 27/02/2010
6/ COO 1154 6,912 21/07/2010
7/ COO 1154 6,912 07/09/2010
8/ COO 1154 6,912 02/11/2010
9/ COO 1154 6,912 14/12/2010

So, I want to talk with CP line 6 -> 8 and compare with COO line 7 -> 9. Seem that so strange; as I know It's must be in Aug.2010 to Nov.2010.

My English is not enough so, I have made report that look not good, too.

Thank you for you help!

Ok, the demand COO #7 is 07-Sept-2010. The CP to supply this demand is CP #6, and is dated 01-May-2010. This makes perfect sense, the CP must be before the COO. There is a lead time to purchase or manufacture this part. What do you believe the date on the CP should be and why?

Yeah, the CP must be before COO but not so long like that. The lead time for Manufacture is 2 days only!
I had tried deleting OE# line ~ COO line 7,8,9 then Merge again. With report, CP line 6,7,8 was deleted too, then Due date is OK.
I mean with COO7,8,9 with due date later than COO 1->6 but due date for CP come down from Jun.2010 -> Mar.2010

Ok is this a manufactured item or a purchased item? What is the shipping lead time under OE, maintain, shipping lead time?

Where are you from by the way, I may be able to put you in touch with some local Macola help.

Hi Dgillz,
That is Manufacture item. With Shipping Lead time, we have not set-up.

Thanks for you help. I come from Viet Nam/ Asian.

OK is it manufactured in SF or PP? If in SF what is the lead time useage in mfg setup? Variable or fixed?

Hi Digillz,
The planning lead time is 02 days. We use Macola Progressive 7.6.200 / SQL V7.

SQL 7? 76200? You're kidding right? That is not even supported. You are correct that the CP should not be dated that early. However to get a decent answer you are going to have to upgrade as Exact will not even take the question with you operating in that environment.

Any chance you can upgrade?

We have plan to upgrade to last version for group in June, next year. Yeah, I tell the trust; I had try to upgrade to 7.6.300/ SQL 2k but I get trouble with Accounting Module, Post Distribute to GL.

Look like, we have trouble with Shop Calendar. I don't know exactly, but when 2010 came, I made Expand the Shop Calendar, then ... It's OK.

I hope some info can help the other people!
