I just install a M12X0 expansion with 2 trunk cards. I have it all wired into the 8x24, and the KSU SEES the 8 lines. How do i use the lines though? I tried activating lines 9-12 but they say "not in service" when i try to use them. I have the M12X0 plugged into port 3 of the expansion on the KSU. How can i use my new lines?

Cool, thats all set, but i can't figure out how to get them to work.

It is plugged into port 3.

This should be lines 9 - 12 right?

So i have configured the lines, and I Add them to a hand set, then when the handset tries to access the line, it says "Not in service" I am not sure what to do. This hardware works because it was setup at one time before.

Use port 8 and go into maintenace and disable then re-enable the card.

Then what set of numbers do I use? do I use 81 - 84?

No! Stations gor from bottom port up and lines top down....still line 009 and up!
Right now your line thinks its a station....power 12X0 down and move to port 8.

REMINDER: remember this post?

Your trunk module should be in port 8. What else do you have on that card? Your trunk modules start from top to bottom, station modules are from bottom to top. If port 8 is empty, put your trunk module on it.

Okay, I got them working partially but only one of my TC work. for only 4 lines are veiwed and in use. I also Got the alarm 51 - 8?

How do you have them punched on the block? It should be 2pr then skip 2pr.

Check your line type under lines programming for lines 13-16. 61-8-2 indicates the line type programmed is inappropriate or incompatible for the line connected to the port on the second card in port 8. Wrong trk cartridge? Wrong line type?

when wiring trk cards in the mod you will punch two lines, skip 2 pair. your wiring chart is good for the first 8 lines on the KSU.
