We are looking to upgrade our phone system and one of the vendors we are looking at is CISCO. We are a large call center, so I'm not sure if Cisco is the right way to go.
Agreed - we're not too thrilled with the prospect of being guinea pigs, but we decided on 5.0 because of:
a) SIP integration - we're planning on rolling out some SIP handsets to replace quite a few Nextels that aren't used after business hours (for business use anyway )
b) We like the hardened Linux appliance of 5.0 instead of the Windows platform.
