Long type in Crystal report

In Oracle, the data type is long and contains a very long text paragraph. THe crystal report however only displays a portion of the field.
Is there anything special about crystal report displaying a long datatype? I am using crystal report 9.0 and I am a very new beginer on crystal report.
Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried Formatting the field to give it the "Can Grow" property?

Yes, the Can Grow property is checked for this field. Also the maximum line is set to have no limit.
What else could I have done wrong?

I had this same problem but with a mysql database. I had to get a hot fix from the Business Objects website. I'm not able to find it again because they changed their website. There was a suggestion when I posted this problem. The message and suggestion is at
