Is there any way or work-around for locking a field in a subform like you can do in excel? I'm upgrading a client's excel system to Access and they have a list of boats down the side and all the other columns are dates. I would like it so that as they scroll left or right to look at the dates for the boats to stay where the were and just the dates move, but can't think how to do it. I tried having the boat column in a seperate subform, but that of course all goes wrong when the user scrolls one or other of the subforms down!

So, does anyone know any way of either locking the boat field in place or linking the verticle scrollbars of two subforms together?

Thanks in advance

In Access 2002, if your subform is in datasheet view, right click on the column that you want to freeze and select "Freeze Columns". I can't say about other versions.

HTH,
Eric
