Greetings Tek-tips geniuses
I am a programming stud but i get killed when it comes to these server/OS configuration problems , maybe someone here can help me , in return most likely i can help with programming questions if u ever need it !!! ... okay I am running Apache Web Server on Windows XP , I can see the default Apache Page when I do in my browser.
but my goal is not localhost the goal is global access so:
if i do my IP address in my browser i get this pop up box that asks me for a user name and password , i don't want that username password pop up box , i don't even know why it comes up or what it is for, i want the default Apache Page of course ... I have been reading up on Apache posts everywhere but I haven't seen anybody post anything about username password pop-ups or what configuration i have that is making it come up
any ideas ??? Thanx for time and efforts , Grant
