This is a weird one. I have not seen this problem before except for this client about 2 months ago. Maybe someone has encountered it here...

The following has been an issue with this client...

Mitel Version 14.0.0.97
Dual T1/E1 Framer

This was not an issue prior to changing out to a T1/E1 Framer. The NSU died so the card was installed and setup.

From phones on the desk and one in outer office....

I dialed 1-800-746-2486 (HCC) Luxor in Vegas 1-877-386-4658. (to test call out) 1-800-657-4621 (MPC)

Local call – 355-1240 (HOW) 356-0902 (BWI Fitness)

Extension 21XX, 22XX and 23XX… all phones are set up the same, all on COMPANY3300.

21XX – dialed HCC, Luxor and HOW… Access Denied twice… third dial, went right through. SO FAR, I can call any number, both local and toll free as normal.

22XX – Access denied on Casino first try… Working normal on every attempt so far.

23XX – Access denied local call 2X… 3rd time, went through as normal. Same with HCC. Working normal on every attempt so far.

LD calls functioning properly.

Did a State of trunk group labeled "Local PRI"... 23 trunks, appeared to be functioning normal, busy on busy trunks, idle on available.

All numbers require "9" to dial out... local does not require area code...

2 hours later... tried again on 21XX made me go through the process again. Access Denied, after 2nd time, went right through.

I had issues recently similar to you and the provider (AT&T) was blocking the call based on outbound caller ID.

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

I will definitely check with Telco on this one.

I looked through ARS Digits, Routes and COR and everything else under the sun and I am at a loss.

Thanks,

Will be checking.

Telco was it. THANKS!!!

I did a check on digital trunks on Local and LD.

Did a STATE 6 1 X X on both LD and LOCAL.

Local came up the first 2 trunks (1 & 2 out of 23) fluctuating between IDLE and UNREACHABLE.
Did a BUSY and RTS command and it helped momentarily then started fluctuating again. This also brings up numerous warnings in your software/maintenance logs.

Called TELCO and they saw what I was seeing on their end (theirs will be 0 and 1). They bounced it and I resubmitted the STATE command and both went to IDLE then BUSY (making calls).
