Can anyone tell me if the latest version of Element Manager will or will not work on Windows 8.1?

The latest version of EM should work on Windows 7 at either 32 or 64 bit, so I don't see why it shouldn't work on Windows 8?.

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

It won't install. Annoying really. I'm using an older version. Same on Server 2012 R2.

Found this on another post..
I finally got EM to work on my 8.1 machine.

1. Open up Explorer and browse to “C:\Users\your_username\.bcm\BEM\bin\”
2. Edit the run.bat file with Notepad
3. Change the the following line:

start javaw.exe -Xms128m -Xmx512m com.nortelnetworks.eem.framework.Main -logLevel 0 %*
to read:
start C:\”Program Files (x86)”\Java\jre7\bin\javaw.exe -Xms128m -Xmx512m com.nortelnetworks.eem.framework.Main -logLevel 0 %*

4. Save and close the file.

5. Create a shortcut to the run.bat file on your Desktop and/or Start Menu

Is that by dragging the BEM files across from a install on a W7 machine?
