Problem clarification ext 302 is associated with Analog board TN2793 in location 01B01 on port 15 busied released the board and port. Run test with her own personal credit card. Message returned line not available. Bell tested site till their demarcation point.

We connect the credit card machine to another

And it worked. We connect an analog phone to the ext 302 port and get a dial tone. When a credit card machine is connected to this port it should dial out to Manaras at 9-1-888-#. When we connected the analog phone to that port we were able to dial out at 9-1-888-# manually to get Manaras, not a programming issue on that extension.

Any idea why ext 302 associated with a credit card machine will not dial out to the designated 1-888 #. NOTE THE DAY BEFORE THE SITE DID EXPERIENCE A POWER SURGE.

It sounds as if you have verified the analog port is functioning properly with an analog phone and you are able to dial out from that phone. I would verify the credit card machine is properly programmed to dial the proper string (9-1-800-xxx-xxx).
You say the CC machine worked on another port. Was it the same user trying it on both ports?
Try to have the same user try it at both ports. It could be user error.
I do not suspect the power surge is an issue for this problem.

Try putting a trace up on station 302 (list trace station 302) and have them place a test call. You should see the off-hook, the digits dialed, the ARS pattern used and the trunk group selected. The credit card machine is usinng DTMF (touch-tone) dialing correct? If you are connecying the machine to a POTS line and it works the machine is not inserting the digit '9'.
