Licensing not working??

I just upgraded to 3.2(55) last night and the key feature says the dongle is in, but the delta server says 0 licenses for everything. As well as the manager shows licenses as invalid. Any ideas what I did wrong? I tried starting and stoping services in diffrent orders and I uninstalled and reinstalled the key feature software, as well as repaired the CCC install. Still shows no licensing. on 3.1.65 All the licenses were there just fine.

I really need help with this asap! My VM Pro is going down every 2 hrs due to invalid license.

deinstall manager
then pull the usb dongle
reinstall manager and put back the dongle

I uninstalled the whole Admin suite, removed dongle, Reinstalled Admin Suite, Put dongle back in... still no licenses, so I stoped and started Delta service, still no licenses...

uninstall, remove dongle, reboot, reinstall, insert dongle and reboot again, this works for me sometimes when I do not stop the license server service prior to starting an upgrade.

followed those directions with the reboots and all. still no licensing.

Isnt the license server the "Key Server" that comes with user admin install? If not how do i update it?

BTW my Delta server Virsion is 5.0.40

do you have a RED dongle icon in the task bar? or is it white with a X through it

its red. Thats the first thing I checked :)

Here is some info that might prove useful maybe...

The server is runing on Windows 2003 Server Standard

When I upgraded the CCC I followed Avaya's directions to use the "repair" option with the new virsion (which didnt seem right) but thats what it said to do. Should I have completely uninstalled the CCC and reinstalled it? The Repair option said it was to retain settings.

Delta server get's license info from PBX, so the problem is not delta server or CCC but that manager shows invalid license.
Check ip adress of license server in config, if it's 255.255.255.255, try change it to actual ip adress of license server pc.
Check firewall, license server use UDP port 50800, try make an exception or turn firewall off.

After license is ok in manager restart delta server.

If you are on V5 of CCC before upgrade, then it's correct to use repair option

Well I didnt know exactly how the licensing worked. so Thanks gmgbg.. I didnt know i needed to reboot the phone system to read the license data from the key feature server. I rebooted the server after doing the uninstall/reinstall fix I did earlier and now everything is reading right! Thanks for all your help!

for future reference, I always stop the license service just before starting the upgrade, that seems to help when it reboots after the install process
