i bet they learned to keep their telecom equipment secure after having to buy all new license dongle, and licenses. were you generous and not mark up the new dongle, and licenses, or did you pass it on with mark up. that is not really a warranty covered situation.

i installed softconsole on a pc
at that time they didn't have a server or some other pc
a day later i came back for some other things and the softconsole wasn't running anymore
i noticed that the dongle was gone
i said this loud to everyone and the next days it was back
now it is on a server and behind a lock
