After upgrade from 3.1.65 to 3.2.17, my licenses have become invalid? Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I dont try the upgrades to 3.2 to our systems but try that

have you got any paralel or usb dongle if so you will have to install key server from 3.2 admin cd.

If you have serial dongle try to put the licences again.

please inform me because ? will try to upgrade our systems to 3.2 at this week but if there is such problems ? dont.

Try rebooting the system a couple times, also the voicemail.

I have rebooted about 10 times. I have also removed the licenses, rebooted, re added the licenses, rebooted and still no good.

Did you do that?

?? Has the key server ever been changed? I know it hadnt up to 3.1

No.. the key server has not been changed.

Have you rebooted the voicemail server? Does the voicemail server still have the correct address? Try to reseat the USB dongle.

I have rebooted the voicemail server as well. Voicemail server address is correct. I am not on site to reseat the dongle.

uninstall the key server, remove the dongle, reboot the server.

reinstall the key server, shutdown the server, insert the dongle, boot the server

if you not onsite you are screwed, in my experience once the server decides not to see the dongle, nothing seems to correct it but what I described above.

I had a feeling that I would need to do something like this. I will give it a try.. Thanks.

it sucks, I've stopped doing remote upgrades because of this little quirk, happens to me about 25% of the upgrades I do,

I have had this happen to me a few times remotely. When you are uninstalling the old version of Admin you need to make sure you stop the key server in the services. Then uninstall reinstall and should be ok. Sometimes if you move the USB key to another usb port it will come back.

Great!! That worked.

Now that I got the license issue resolved, voicemail is answering, however, it does not record the messages that are being left.

If I dial an extension and voicemail answers, I can leave a message, press # and I get a response that says "NO Message to Leave"

Help!?!?!

Wouldn't work... I had to reinstall voicemail to get it going again.

I love Avaya upgrades!

Thanks everyone for all the great help!! You guys rock.

I ran into a similiar issue while performing remote upgrade. The sequence I used to fix was: uninstalling feature key server, disable Rainbow usb and USB controllers, reboot, reinstall, enable usb, reboot.
