I am quite new to the MD110 and am trying to program the LCR on the MD110 to add a prefix of 1840 on outgoing calls to route them to perspecfic carrier. For example to add the prefix code for international calls I have entered the following commands:

NANSI:NUMTYP=ED,NUMSE=84;
RODDI:DEST=84,ROU=2,SRT=3,PRE=1840;
RODDI:DEST=84,ROU=1,CHO=1,SRT=3,PRE=1840;
LCDDI:TAB=FDT,FRCT=5,TZONE=1,PRE=84;
LCDDI:TAB=DNT2,ENT=900,FRCT=5;

All of the above commands execute OK but when I try and call international I get vacant number!!

I have also run the command NADAP:TYPE=LC to make sure LCR is enabled and this says:

LEASE COST ROUTING
CODE NUMBER SERIES 9

Am I missing command or parameter on the commands I am entering. Any help would be appreicated. Thanks

Hi mdnewey,
first of all: if you have pre 1840, you must have roddi starting with "1" or "18" or "184" or "1840"
If you don´t truncate any number in your dnt2 your dialed number will look like: 184084900xxxxx.
Is this what you want?
greetings

first of all: if you have pre 1840, you must have roddi starting with "1" or "18" or "184" or "1840"

> this is incorrect, the pre is at the end of the roddi and is ok

If you don´t truncate any number in your dnt2 your dialed number will look like: 184084900xxxxx.

> this is your problem you are not truncating and sending too many digits to line

regards parnum

The number in PRE must be a External Destination in NADAP. It doesn't have to be the same digits as the destination code.

Thanks for your help.

The truncating of digits makes sense,however I have tried to enter 1840 as external destination in NADAP by entering the command NANSI:NUMTYP=ED.NUMSE=1840 but I get message back from the system saying not accepted number series already assigned.

Any ideas on how I can find out what the number series is assigned to. I've ran NADAP; and looked at the data and can't see number series 1 anywhere accept for the external number length data table where there is 1000,17,18 and 19 and the call discrimation data!

like dufqi asked, do you need the 1840 prefix or not?

anyway please post following prinouts (formatted in mono text with tt tag)

NADAP;
RODDP:DEST=ALL;

What You See Is What You Get

hi again

9 is set as lc so the entry 900 in dnt2 goes to frct 5 which is a pre of 84, which is dest code 84, and this has a pre of 1840. you need to decide what you want to send to line and truncate as appropriate using trc/srt in the roddi.

1840 does not need to be an ed it's a pre to send to line, you have your ed and lc set correctly, you are probably just sending too much to line i would guess you only want to send 1840 as a carrier prefix.

best regards parnum

Thanks for your help.

I have now truncated digits in the roddi using trc/srt but still get vacant number when I try and call the number. The commands I am now entering are:

RODDI:DEST=84,ROU=2,TRC=3,SRT=3,PRE=1840;
RODDI:DEST=84,ROU=1,CHO=1,TRC=3,SRT=3,PRE=1840

Any ideas why this still doesn't work????

Please post

nadap;

lcddp:tab=dnt2;
lcddp:tab=ent;
roddp:dest=all;

Here are the details for LCDDP:TAB=DNT1, LCDDP:TAB=DNT2, LCDDP:TAB=FDT; and RODDP:DEST=ALL. I don't have NADAP and LCDDP:TAB=ENT to hand at moment and don't currently have access to the PBX tp obtain. Hope this help anyway!

Hi,

LCR is a pre-processor to normal routing (RODDI) so in the example you have given…

A call dials 90012127963838… an NYC number

Assuming there is no match in ENT and DNT1 for the dialled number then the match is found in DNT2 which points it to FRCT 5…

Then in FRCT 5 you PRE the dialled number… 8490012129763838 is then send to the normal routing (RODDI)

DEST 84 then PREfixes 1840 so we now have 1840849012127963838… Then SRT=3 so send number over ROU=1 is… 40849012127963838

I would try the following…
RODDI:DEST=84,ROU=2,SRT=3;
RODDI:DEST=84,ROU=1,CHO=1,SRT=3;
LCDDI:TAB=FDT,FRCT=5,TZONE=1,PRE=841840;
LCDDI:TAB=DNT2,ENT=900,FRCT=5;

Isinor

Do you agree with this?

roddi:dest=84,trc=2,....,srt=3,pre=01........
roddi:dest=84,trc=2,....,srt=9,pre=01234567........

The result is the same. MD ignores all digits until the srt is reached. So you could insert your birthday and it would work - if you only set the srt correctly.

But if you try:

roddi:dest=84,trc=2,srt=1,pre=........

It will not work. God knows why. srt must be higher then 1 and you must insert senseless digits in pre.

mdnewey,
why all this discussions in this forum?
There is no roddi "84" in the printout.
First of all you have to have numse=84,numtyp=ed and Roddi:dest=84,rou=2,srt=3?.
if I am reding your last thread correct, you want send
40XXXX to your route 2.
So, use 84 as pre, or any other roddi out of your roddp, and it will work.
RODDI:DEST=84,ROU=2,SRT=3,trc=3,pre=8440;
Greetings

Oops... You must TRC the 9 in the...

LCDDI:TAB=DNT2,ENT=900,FRCT=5,TRC=1;

To get my example to work.

Regards
Isinor

hi mdnewey

you said in your original post you did roddi:dest=84, etc but then in your 2nd printout you have not done it/removed it???????? in addition to isinor's

LCDDI:TAB=DNT2,ENT=900,FRCT=5,TRC=1;

try

LCDDI:TAB=FDT,FRCT=5,TZONE=1,PRE=84;
RODDI:DEST=84,ROU=2,TRC=2,SRT=3,PRE=841840;
RODDI:DEST=84,ROU=1,CHO=1,TRC=2,SRT=3,PRE=841840;
