i've got an Nortel option 11c, running succession 4.5.

I'm looking for a way to change the clid of a range of extensions, like 1111-9999
is there any way to do this?

i.e. instead of having to do
chg
2616
tnb x xx x xx
echg yes
key 0 scn **** 1
and then repeat this process 10000 times.

is there anything i can do to change all of my extensions at once, or better yet, do a specific range of numbers.. i.e my DID lines.

Are every one of them going to have
KEY 0 SCN **** 1 Basically THE 1 is the change?

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

well, i want some to have entry 1, some to have 2, and some to have 3, and some to have 4, and some to have 5...
but i want them all to start with a base of 1, and right now they are a random scattering of 1's and 2's.

so even if i changed entry 1 and 2 to the same thing, i still have a large range of Non-DID numbers that i need to change to entry 3, 4, 5, etc

i hope i'm making sense here.

for an example, when ext 70 calls out, it shows up on caller id as 366-70. i want it to show up as 424-5511, however i want all the phones in another department to show up as 366-5716, and another department would show up as 366-5770, and so on unless the ext is a DID, in which case, i want the DID number to show up.

and since all the DID numbers are in the same range, i'd love to just make this change to a range of numbers, instead of 1 by 1.

once 15 is where you want it. Individual sets will have to be modified. Easy not to get out of hand with default 0, and planning, but once it is awry, it's too late. A script could pull ext and entry from a doc. Might take longer than the manual entry to compile.

thats what i was afraid of. at this point i'd settle for a way to do a print out of what the clid setting is for each extension. might be easier to clean it up if i had that. is there a way to do that?

Not sure if you can do anything with that in 81 or not, will check in the AM, or someone will yea or nay

DO a complete TNB then use this

and get the mv.xls file

it will sort out your complete pbx into an excel spreadsheet, you can then manipulate the data easily. ALso makes compiling a spreadsheet for using a script very easy.

Follow up.
used scripting with procomm plus to make these changes.
thank you all for pointing me in this direction, I'd never made scripts before, and now i make them all the time.
