laptop troubles

I have a Siemens Nixdorf Mobile 510 AGP Laptop with a
Xircom realport card bus 10/100 + 56k modem.

I installed win2k Pro on it yesterday.
After installing the Xircom card my connection to the local are network disappeared. All that I find under the network icon is "new connection" which only handles RAS and other dial-up connections.
I recieve ip-addresses from the dhcp and the network is working fine.
How can I change my tcp/ip settings now? /Sören

It seems that my sniffer program is to blame.
When I isntalled that it removed the icon right away.

Perhaps someone can tell my how to get it back. I really want to use that program.
Uninstalling the sniffer program didn´t work. Only full reinstallation of the OS. I couldn´t find anything in the register either.

Ideas any1?
