I need to know if the Kirk 1500 wireless server (equivalent of the old IP Office DECT Control Unit (DCU), can be used on an IP500 platform. The client has the Kirk 1500 already in place (on an old LG switch) and doesn't want to go the expense of upgrading to IP DECT. I know that the 20DT handsets are NOT supported but the client uses the Kirk 4020 and 4040 handsets.

Can I simply connect the Kirk 1500 to analogue ports on the IP500?

Thanks in advance

P.S. First question on the forums so be kind :)

Yeah, I have a couple of 500's and Version 4's still using the ICON/Kirk investment. Hell I even have the CTI link working on them too.

The Kirk works on any system with analogue lines, even your home phone line, however if you want CLI to be displayed you need a PC with a serial connection running the DECT integration software (from Admin CD) and a licence in the system.

Yes should have mentioned that, Avaya stopped supporting it so no longer put it on the Admin Cd's...or so I was told.

3.2 is the last Admin CD range that contains the CCFP and the likes.
